Welcome to New York City; the city of opportunity. For years, the city
has been renowned for its fabulous architecture, fashion, and celebrities.
People from all over the world travel to the city to catch a glimpse of Lady
Liberty- the symbol for all that America has held dear: Freedom, opportunity,
and justice. But, despite the façade of fame and fortune- the lowest rungs
on the ladder are struggling to survive in a world far crueler than the fake
image of expensive wine and million-dollar fashion. Drugs, gang shootings,
prostitution… this part of New York is where the dreams have crumbled,
leaving an eerie absence of hope and little future. It’s the New York many
have seen but chose to ignore, the run-down areas, the drug chains, the
broken glass and alley-ways... Many question if it is even possible to escape
the imminent fate of the empty streets of New York City- and with criminal
activity on the rise behind the turned backs of the authorities, the violence
and cruelty is escalading.
Criminals have come to call New York City their home ever since the authorities
started giving up on the crumbling city. Cue The Altar Boys, a group of highly
elite idealistic gangsters who act as the only justice system in a city that has
been neglected by its precious government. They act as a secret society; no
one is entirely sure if they even exist… but somehow, criminals who make their
debut in a city already heavily-laden in crime are suffering punishment far worse
than anyone could ever imagine. The Altar Boys act as God in this gilded society,
punishing those who they believe deserve punishment and sparing those who
model their idealistic world. Word travels fast in a city built on the media, and it’s
only a matter of time before a true justice system is created, an era where the
government as we know it ceases to exist and the Altar Boys rule over the world
they’ve created.
A world where crime, evil, and sin do not exist.
WE ARE NOTHING BUT PRISONERS AND ALTAR BOYS
